The institutional mapping report is on the general climate change related sub-national level institutional arrangements with high emphasis on mitigation and low emission development. This “Institutional Mapping” exercise has been carried out to achieve the following key objectives
To identify and map the key stakeholders at sub-national levels in Sri Lanka in the context of Climate Change mitigation and low carbon development
To improve clarity on institutional jurisdictions, functions, and mandates; across levels of government and civil society to deliver emission reductions and improve the climate resilience of infrastructure services
To understand the potential role of subnational governance tires in Sri Lanka to develop and achieve national level climate change targets.
