With its G20 Presidency, China is leading the attention towards energy efficiency and its financing at both the international and domestic levels. The Chinese financial sector has shown positive response to this action as six financial institutions – Agricultural Development Bank of China, Bank of Juangsu, Huaxia Bank, ICBC, Industrial Bank, Zhujiang Financial Leasing – endorsed the Statement by Financial Institutions on Energy Efficiency, led by UN Environment’s Finance Initiative (UNEP FI).
