January 29, 2015 – The Asian Greenhouse Gas Management Center (AGMC) is searching for candidates with a background in carbon management, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, offset projects, or climate change policy to fill two new positions: Program Coordinator and Program Officer. The positions are based at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) near Bangkok, Thailand.
Under the direction of the AGMC Director, the Program Coordinator will coordinate and oversee the development of a regional online knowledge hub, and will support technical assistance activities, working closely with AGMC and USAID LEAD staff, AIT faculty members, and other partners. The Program Coordinator will also lead AGMC’s curriculum development activities to serve country needs, and support business development opportunities with a focus on enhancing capacity in Asia for development and implementation of low emission development strategies, or LEDS. In addition, need assessment activities will require establishment and nurturing of relationships with partners and peers, and strong facilitation and organizational skills.

The Program Officer will report to the AGMC Director and will liaise closely with the Center’s Bangkok-based partners, the USAID LEAD Program and USAID Regional Development Mission for Asia, and academic and professional units within AIT.
