Low Carbon Asia Research Network Releases Synthesis Report of Third Annual Meeting

Following the Third Annual Meeting of the Low Carbon Asia Research Network (LoCARNet), a synthesis report has been released capturing meeting highlights and conclusions. The meeting, held November 24-26, 2014, in Bogor, Indonesia was organized by Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), State Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS), Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Indonesia (KLHK), National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), and Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ).

The synthesis report, titled Asia is Ready to Stabilize Climate, provides an overview of the LoCARNet Bogor Declaration. The declaration was drawn up by LoCARNet participants following the meeting and confirms that Asia is ready for low carbon transition and awaits the opportunity to deploy actions towards climate stabilization following the Paris Climate Change Agreement. The synthesis report also provides key session findings, session reports, and presentation information.
