The Asia LEDS Partnership (ALP) invites nomination for the Steering Committee elections. The new ALP Steering Committee will serve from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2018.
ALP is a voluntary regional network comprised of organizations and individuals from the public, private, and non-governmental sectors active in designing, promoting, and/or implementing LEDS in Asia. ALP, launched in September 2012, is one of three regional platforms of the LEDS Global Partnership, an initiative of more than 120 countries and international programs launched in 2011.
The ALP Secretariat is currently advised by a 16-member Steering Committee, led by two Co-Chairs, Dr. Pham Hoang Mai from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vietnam and Mr. Ali Tauqeer Sheikh from Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD), Pakistan. The Steering Committee is responsible for guiding the ALP to identify, design, organize, and deliver support activities to members.
The steering committee is re-constituted once every two years to allow continuation of existing members, if they so wish, and to allow new organizations the opportunity to join the steering committee. The tenure of the existing committee ends by November 2016.
We invite you to nominate self/other officials for the new committee by filling in one of the following forms (Steering Committee Self-Nomination form or Steering Committee Nomination form) on or before December 15, 2016.
