Webinar on ‘Roadmap for Sustainable Green Freight’

In this upcoming webinar, experts will discuss the importance of green freight as a priority sector for the city and national governments. Emissions caused by non-passenger activities are often ignored, and thus this webinar will sensitize the audience on the actions taken on green freight that can help governments achieve the NDC commitments, develop institutional capacity and understand freight emission assessment tools. The webinar organized by Asia LEDS Partnership under the Clean Mobility Community of Practice (CoP) is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and LEDS Global Partnership (LEDS GP).

  • Zhi Fang Yin, Research Institute of Scientific Research, Ministry of Transport of China

Session Agenda

  • Welcome and Opening Remarks – including an introduction to ALP- Representative from the Asia LEDS Partnership Secretariat (10 min)
  • Introduction to Experts followed by an introduction to participants (5 minutes)
  • Presentation by Tsu-Jui Cheng, ICLEI world secretariat – Introduction to urban green freight, its need, aims & objectives, good practices/ case studies, freight emission assessment tools (20 min)
  • Presentation by Dr Zhi Fang Yin, Ministry of Transport of China – discussion on regulatory and policy framework to induce green freight with a long term vision of promoting green freight (20 min)
  • Q & A session (30 min)
  • Conclusion and way forward (5 minutes)
