The Jeffrey Cheah Foundation (JCF) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Association are launching a partnership of comprehensive collaboration on sustainable development as the global community enters into the first year of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). JCF has given a grant to support education in sustainable development through the creation of a global curriculum and of learning materials for the SDGs. This partnership will also support an SDG Centre of Excellence for the Southeast Asia region through the establishment of the Jeffrey Sachs Centre on Sustainable Development at Sunway University, Malaysia. The centre will be a hub for research and policy practice, creating world class programs to train students, practitioners, and policy leaders, and link with universities around the world to jointly partner in problem solving for the SDGs.
Prior to the launching event, a public lecture on the topic, “The Grand Challenges of Global Diplomacy” by Professor Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development, Columbia University and UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, will be held on 08 December 2016 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Sunway University, Malaysia.
To register, complete the registration form on or before 11 November 2016. For more details on the program, visit the event website at: http://university.sunway.edu.my/JSC. For queries, contact email@example.com.
