The Asia LEDS Partnership is happy to announce the launch of the Community of Practice (CoP) on Grid Renewable Energy (GRE). It is an initiative of the Asia LEDS Partnership in collaboration with the Energy Working Group of the LEDS Global Partnership. The interactive platform will allow for deeper learning and sustained participation, continuous access to tools and expert assistance, and to foster champions that will serve as role models for other countries in the regions.
The GRE CoP will be covering learning and technical collaboration on two topics: Building blocks for grid renewable energy development, and Renewable energy grid integration.
The CoP is also envisaged to meet members’ needs and will offer support and solutions to early movers as needs emerge. In 2018, the activities of the GRE CoP will focus on peer learning, knowledge exchange, and expert assistance.
ALP invites nominations from suitable persons including national and subnational governments, regulators, utilities, system operators, technical institutions, businesses, non-profits and other international organisations working towards RE grid integration. The deadline for submission is the 15th of March 2018.
Once participants are selected, they will work together to develop a work plan, along with refined goals, activities, and planned outputs.
